REFLECTION
All of the CCUB 1062 activities, including the presentation and poster, have been done, alhamdulillah. Every work I've completed has made me happy. My teammates are all highly athletic, and everyone takes an active role in group discussions. The responsibilities assigned to me eventually lead to a better understanding of Allah and why He puts everyone of His followers to the test. This usrah is one of the ways I stay connected to Allah. I'd say this is the best usrah I've ever been a part of. This usrah makes me feel a variety of emotions. . I'll tell you what, I've been looking forward to meeting up with you every week. I feel like I had such an engaging talk with each of the people at Usrah that I don't want to stop. I'm really enjoying the usrah group I'm in right now. Every meeting, I gain a lot of new i'lmu (knowledge) from them, and I learn from their experience. May Allah bless all of the lovely individuals that have joined this usrah. Amiin .
MY FUTURE GOALS
1)
Improve Presentation / Public Speaking Skills
By
achieving this goal, I will practice my presentation as often as possible.
Rehearse to the point that I am so familiar with my subject matter, so that I
could deliver my presentation with ease. For now, before the day of the
individual presentation, I try to do at least one practice run in front of a
friend as well as a group presentation, I will remind my teammates to set a
time to practice together to make effective PowerPoint presentations and
deliver great speeches.
2)
Improve my Time Management Skills
The
first way I can utilize to improve my time management is to set daily goals
with reminders. This way will encourage me to complete each task by taking life
one day at a time. To stay on top of your daily goals, I have been using apps
like Google Calendar to keep me remember the task I have not done yet. Second,
I will remind myself to complete the most important tasks first. It will be a
relief once I am done, and surely the rest of my day will run more smoothly.
WHAT
I LEARNED FROM THIS USRAH ?
So , I'm going
to tell you guys what I learned from Usrah. I've been reminded and taught about
the simple things that we frequently overlook in our daily lives during this
session.
I learned about
the meaning and value of 'Ibadah, as well as four out of five of the Islamic
faith's pillars. It's fantastic since it reminds me and refreshes my
recollections of previous lessons such as sawm, zakah, salah, and hajj.
I also
discovered that there are numerous ways to be kind to society. It does not
imply that we must engage in strenuous activities. It is often regarded
acceptable to just smile or surrender our seat to the elders on the bus.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيم
Location : Akar Budi Centre
Day & Date : Saturday, 5 November 2022
Activity : Gotong-royong
The story we
have today that I want to share with all of you is about of community service
at Akar Budi Center. Since this is my first time performing a social duty, I
feel little bit worried and nervous.
When I first
arrived at the Akar Budi Center, all I knew was that it was a part of IIUM and
offered a variety of programmes to those in need. Most of the residents in the
area surrounding the Center are unemployed, and many of the local kids are
unable to afford the cost of attending school. what I'm impresses that Despite
the fact that they were unable to receive the education that other children do,
they were nonetheless interested in reading the book.
Me and my
friends were cleaning the prayer room and hallway on that particular day. Even
though it's a modest contribution, it nevertheless helps the center's visitors.
They can comfortably utilise the rooms for things like prayer and study. I
eventually came to the realisation that helping others will make life more
fulfilling and happier for me, whether it be through donations, time, energy,
knowledge, or emotional support. Sometimes the things I take for granted or
think are insignificant to them actually mean a great deal to them.
Since my
classmates and I were from various kulliyahs and courses, this community
service offered me the chance to get to know them better and form strong
friendships with them. All praise be to Allah, and I am grateful to the
institution for providing me with a platform to interact with, engage, and
develop bonds with the local population.
I wish to
participate in volunteer work as often as I can because I enjoy learning about
various cultures, experiencing them firsthand, and supporting the local
community. Through volunteering, I learn about mankind and develop an
appreciation, understanding, and respect for many points of view and
lifestyles.

USRAH IN ACTION 2
Actually, this initiative has benefited me in a variety of ways. Community service allows me as a student a chance to get away from the strain, worry, and stress of being a student. It is one of the ways I unwind, decompress, and increase my happiness, self-worth, and confidence. In addition, it gives me the chance to improve my social skills and learn new ones.
I gained and learned a lot from this project, including how well we worked together as teachers to make the teaching and learning process enjoyable and effective, as well as how to manage big groups of kids. This initiative also inspired me to share my knowledge with the community. Future projects of this nature should be carried out more frequently because they are very beneficial to both the community and us. Last but not least, I wish to learn from this experience in order to face additional difficulties in the future.
